Recipe // Drinking more water made easy…

Drink Water the smart way

Drinking lots of water during the hot summer days in Texas is as must, or you will start to feel dizzy and maybe even faint. I am not a water drinker myself, that’s why I was searching for some tips and tricks on how to spice it up (make it tastier).

I came across this great idea by detoxhq.net, so I started immediately to prep my water this way.

Quick tip before you get started; make sure you wash all your fruit before you add them to your drink

  1. Lime water: 1 lime (sliced), 2 cups of water, 1/2 cup ice cubs (squeeze one slice of lime directly into your water)
  2. Orange & blueberry water: 1 orange, 1/2 cup blueberries, 1 1/2 – 2 cups of water, 1/2 cup ice (squeeze one slice of orange directly into your water)
  3. Lemon and raspberry water: 1 lemon (sliced), 1/2 cup raspberries, 2 cups water, 1/2 cup ice cubs (squeeze one slice of lemon directly into your water)
  4. Strawberry & Honey water: 1/2 cup strawberries, 1-2 tsp. honey, 2 cups water (heat 1/2 cup of water and stir in the honey, combine with all other ingredients) 1/2 cup ice cubs

No.3 and 4 are my favorites, you can also boil a big pot of chamomile tea, let it cook and use it to make the above drinks!!!

  1. This is a great idea! I used to drink a whole lot of water but lately I noticed I haven’t been so faithful. I like this idea & I’m going to try it out to get back on track. I particularly like the lemon & raspberry recipe & I can’t wait to give it a shot tomorrow.
    Thanks for sharing!

    1. Oyindoubara, I realized that since I started drinking my water with fruit or chamomile tea, I drink more and feel better. It’s important especially now while I am pregnant.
Let me know how you liked it, after you have tried making the raspberry drink!

      1. So I tried the drink yesterday afternoon while I was doing some work outside my home. I really loved the taste & having to eat the left over raspberries :). Thanks for sharing this, now I know what else I can do with such berries when I’m not in the mood for a smoothie.
