About us

We’re a Military Family of five and a half (miniature Pincher incl.) sharing our budget-friendly home improvements, fun DIY projects and nifty, thrifty makeovers here on our blog oheverythinghandmade.com.

I am originally from Europe, born in Romania and raised in Germany. Fast forward to 2007 – I left Germany to be with my husband in the US. My greatest challenge to this day was that I had no family, no friends, and no job, all while getting used to a new culture. The chances are that I would do it all over again to be in the happy place I’m in, with my family, new friends and the best partner I could have ever wished.

My background in Retail Management, Entrepreneurship and Advertisement were beneficial when I started looking for job possibilities in the states. However, the drive to become self-employed again was high, and it didn’t take long to find myself on a path full of opportunities. Pursuing a long-time dream, to launch my own Jewelry business was one of them! And the desire to share more about the creative side of me was significant, which leads us to OhEverythingHandmade Blog.

First House
Back in the spring of 2013, we bought our first house, a large 2200+ SQ. ft. 2 story home. Which we are now home-improving on. So, far we designed and rebuilt a new kitchen and my office. We have planned to remodel our master bathroom, replace carpet with hardwood flooring on the second level, update lighting in the entire house and make some improvements in our guest bathroom and powder room.

    Liebe Bettina,
